Digital Thumbs Up System: Streamlining Communication
First is the introduction of the Digital Thumbs Up System to our fleet. This straightforward communication tool facilitates interaction between site users and operators. When a site user wishes to approach a machine, they signal the operator with a thumbs up, awaiting a response. The operator, when in a safe position, can then respond with either a thumbs up or thumbs down using controls within the cab. This interaction is visually communicated through an LED sign atop the cab roof, providing a clear and secure method to confirm that the operator has acknowledged personnel presence, promoting heightened awareness across the entire site.
AI Human Detection System: A 360-Degree Safety Shield
To complement the Thumbs Up system we are implementing an AI Human Detection System, a revolutionary AI utilising high-definition cameras positioned on the cab’s exterior. These cameras offer a comprehensive 360-degree view of the surroundings. The system scans everything within a predetermined radius but only alerts the operator when a human is detected approaching the designated red zone. By minimising distractions and focusing on human forms, this intelligent technology enhances operator attention and ensures a safer workspace.
