Nicola Wins Hire Award

Well done to Nicola Laws, who took home the Hire Achiever of the Year gong at the 2011 Hire Awards of Excellence.

Nicola was among four candidates who had completed the Level 2 NVQ in Hire & Rental Operations. What made her performance stand out over her course-mates, apart from the impressive pass-mark, was her perseverance and seemingly boundless energy.

Nick Hubb said: “There are not many women (young mums) with the dedication, willingness and eagerness to learn as Nicola. She's one hundred percent committed, dependable, happy and consistent, and overall a pleasure to work with. She is customer focused and can always solve a problem.

“Since the course Nicola is worldlier and has gained a lot more confidence. She still has plenty left to offer the business as she develops in her career. She is a great advert for the industry, we are very lucky.”

However it seems her success on the apprenticeship scheme and the award were only the start of her journey. Nicola has just completed the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Supervising Hire & Rental Operations – Equipment, Plant & Tool (Construction) (QCF), becoming the first woman to attain this award!
